Delhi Bomb Threat: Airports and Schools Receive Hoax Emails, Panic Grips Capital
New Delhi: The national capital once again witnessed panic after a series of bomb threat emails were sent to Delhi Airport, several schools, and institutions. The alerts triggered swift action from police, fire services, and bomb disposal squads. Search operations were launched across multiple locations, causing chaos and fear. However, officials later confirmed that all the alerts turned out to be false.
Among the targets were CRPF Public School in Noida and a Sarvodaya Vidyalaya near Qutub Minar, both of which received threatening emails. The sudden spread of fear left students, parents, and teachers shocked. Security teams carried out intensive checks, but no suspicious items were found.
Heightened Security Checks in Schools
According to Delhi Fire Services, bomb squads and police teams rushed to the sites immediately after receiving the threats. Every classroom, bag, and corner was thoroughly inspected before authorities declared the situation safe.
Jammu Airport Also Put on Alert
The panic was not limited to Delhi. On Sunday morning, a private airline operating from Jammu Airport also received a bomb threat email. CISF personnel and local police conducted an anti-sabotage drill across the airport, tightening passenger checks. Thankfully, air traffic was not disrupted, and the email was later confirmed to be a hoax.
Concerns Over Rising Hoax Threats
Officials expressed concern over the growing trend of false bomb threats across the country in recent months, targeting schools, airports, and government buildings. While every alert is being treated with utmost seriousness, authorities warned that such hoaxes not only burden security agencies but also create unnecessary panic among the public.
