UP Kabaddi League Season 2 Player Auction on November 3 in Noida

Noida: The player auction for Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL) Season 2 will be held on November 3 at Hotel Sarovar Portico, Greater Noida West, announced league founder Sambhav Jain. After the successful first season, the league is expanding this year with the addition of two new teams — Aligarh Tigers and Kanpur Warriors — taking the total to ten teams in Season 2.

The returning teams include Lucknow Lions, Yamuna Yoddha, Noida Ninjas, Kashi Kings, Awadh Ramdoot, Brij Stars, Sangam Challengers, and Ganga Kings Mirzapur.

The auction will be managed by CrickBattle, the official auction technology partner of UPKL. It will follow an open-bid, live format attended by franchise owners, team officials, and league representatives. Players will be divided into four categories based on their experience and performance level:

  • Category A: Base price ₹1,00,000
  • Category B: ₹60,000
  • Category C: ₹40,000
  • Category D: ₹25,000

The official tagline of UPKL is “Apna Bharat, Apna Khel Khel Raha Hai Mera Pradesh” (Our India, Our Game – Played by My State). Operated by SJ Uplift Kabaddi and supported by the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi Association, the league aims to provide a professional platform for emerging athletes to showcase their skills and build a career in kabaddi.

The UPKL Season 2 will officially kick off on December 25, 2025, featuring around 64 matches, all hosted in Noida. Recognized as one of India’s leading state-level kabaddi leagues, UPKL is committed to promoting the sport across Uttar Pradesh through a professional, transparent, and inclusive format.
