November’ 2025 was the “safest” month for journalists this year: VOM Report

New Delhi: November 2025 can be considered a relatively “safe” month for journalists compared to other months, as no tragic and unfortunate incidents of journalists being killed were recorded anywhere in the world during this month. Mr. Ravindra Ranjan, editor-in-chief of voiceofmedia.com, stated that his media outlet has documented the deaths of journalists killed in various incidents worldwide this year, and a detailed report will be published in January 2026.

He further added that the VOM report revealed that no casualties against journalists were recorded anywhere in the world during the month of November. Moreover, there was no other month in 2025 when news of a journalist’s killing did not emerge from some corner of the world. May and August were the worst months for journalists, with 16 journalists killed in each month. Gaza remained the most dangerous place for journalists this year as well. The highest number of journalist killings occurred in Gaza. India is among the unsafe countries for journalists, where 9 journalists have been killed this year.
