Bomb Threat to 9 Delhi Schools Triggers Panic, Security on High Alert
Delhi Schools Bomb Threat: A major and alarming development has emerged from the national capital as nine reputed schools in Delhi received bomb threats via email on Monday morning. The threats caused panic among school authorities, students, and parents. However, swift action by Delhi Police and security agencies helped bring the situation under control.
Swift Response: Evacuation and Search Operations
As soon as the threatening emails were received, a red alert was issued at all affected schools. Following standard safety protocols, students and staff were immediately evacuated from classrooms and moved to secure locations and open grounds.
Teams from the Bomb Disposal Squad and dog squads rushed to the sites and launched thorough search operations. Every corner of the school premises—including classrooms, libraries, washrooms, and playgrounds—was meticulously checked.
Schools promptly informed parents through messages and asked them to take their children home as a precaution.
Email Under Cyber Probe
The cyber cell of Delhi Police has initiated an investigation into the source of the threatening email. Preliminary findings suggest it may be a prank or a hoax threat, but authorities are leaving no room for complacency. Areas surrounding the affected schools were sealed, and PCR vans were deployed to maintain security.
Police have urged the public and parents to remain calm and avoid spreading or believing rumors.
Not the First Such Incident
It is worth noting that Delhi schools have received similar threats in recent times. In previous cases, investigations found the threats to be fake. Nonetheless, security agencies continue to treat every such alert with utmost seriousness.
The Lieutenant Governor’s office and the Police Commissioner’s office are closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of students and staff.
