Air Ambulance Crashes Shortly After Takeoff from Ranchi Airport; Seven People on Board
National Desk: A major incident has been reported from Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. An air ambulance (chartered aircraft) crashed shortly after taking off from Ranchi Airport. A total of seven people were on board the aircraft at the time of the accident.
Contact Lost with Radar After Takeoff
The Director of Ranchi Airport confirmed that the chartered aircraft had departed for Delhi. However, shortly after takeoff, the aircraft lost contact with air traffic control radar. A search operation was immediately initiated, and it was later discovered that the plane had crashed in a dense forest area near Karmatand village under the Simaria police station limits in Chatra district.
Crash in Dense Forest Hampers Rescue Operations
As soon as information about the crash was received, teams from the Chatra district administration and local police rushed to the scene. The crash site is located in a heavily forested area, making rescue and relief operations challenging. Authorities have also sought assistance from nearby villagers to aid in the ongoing efforts.
According to preliminary reports, the aircraft was carrying a patient, a doctor, and other crew members. However, detailed information regarding the condition of all seven individuals is still awaited. Further updates are expected as rescue operations continue.
