Quick Thinking Saves Life: Moving Car Catches Fire in Noida, Driver Jumps Out Just in Time
Noida News: A major accident was narrowly avoided on Saturday morning in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, when a moving car suddenly caught fire near Sector 98 under the Sector 39 police station area. Panic spread in the area as flames quickly engulfed the vehicle. Demonstrating presence of mind, the driver jumped out of the car in time and managed to save his life.
According to police, the fire brigade team rushed to the spot immediately after receiving the alert and managed to bring the blaze under control after considerable effort. However, by then, the car had been completely gutted.
Eyewitnesses reported that smoke was first seen coming out of the moving car, which soon turned into a massive fire within minutes. The incident created panic among other motorists and pedestrians on the road. Authorities were promptly informed, following which local police reached the spot, controlled the situation, and ensured smooth traffic movement. The road witnessed temporary congestion, which was later cleared.
Preliminary investigation suggests that a short circuit may have caused the fire. However, police and fire officials are conducting a detailed probe to determine the exact cause. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, but the incident has once again highlighted the importance of vehicle safety and regular maintenance.
