A Comprehensive and Reflective Chronicle on the Mahakumbh Released
Title of the Publication: “Mahakumbh Ka Mahamanthan”
New Delhi: The Ramayana Research Council has released a comprehensive, research-based and visually engaging publication on the Mahakumbh, one of the world’s most significant spiritual and cultural gatherings. Titled “Mahakumbh Ka Mahamanthan,” the book presents the Mahakumbh not only as a grand event, but as a timeless symbol of India’s spiritual and civilisational heritage.
The Council shared that it intends to present the first copy of this publication to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India before making it available to the public. The Council described the work as a collective effort guided by inspiration, thoughtful leadership and coordinated governance, which helped bring this important project to completion.
The concept of the book has been inspired by 11-year-old Bal Vyas Vaidehinandan Pandit Vedant Ji. According to the Council’s Secretary, Pitamber Mishra, the publication has been created as a long-term reference for future generations. It includes detailed insights on the Mahakumbh, the Akharas, and the spiritual significance of ritual bathing, helping readers understand the deeper meaning of Sanatan traditions.
The publication also features reflections and messages from the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the President of the Akhara Parishad and RSS Kshetra Pracharak (North Zone) Shri Pawan Jindal, as well as former Principal Secretaries and senior officials of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, offering a balanced perspective of spiritual vision and administrative experience.
Jayram Viplav, National Youth Convener of the Council and National Media Panellist of the BJP, stated that the book covers the Mahakumbh in a structured manner—from preparations and organisation to its global spiritual message. He expressed confidence that readers will find this work unique and deeply engaging. He also informed that the Council has developed www.mahakumbhinfo.com to digitally share Mahakumbh-related material, which will be made available online soon.
Council Trustee Dev Ratna Sharma said that the book has also been prepared in English to take the message of Sanatan tradition to a global audience. He added that the Council is committed to preserving such historic and spiritual documentation by placing these publications in leading libraries around the world.
Another Trustee, Amber Agrawal, noted that the Council has consistently worked towards strengthening India’s cultural and spiritual values through literature. He recalled that during Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, the Prayagraj Mela Authority (Government of Uttar Pradesh) allotted space to the Council in Sector-23. He expressed gratitude to Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath and stated that the coffee-table book Mahakumbh Ka Mahamanthan has been published to keep the memory of the Mahakumbh alive in public consciousness.
Concluding the announcement, Secretary Pitamber Mishra stated that the Council plans to prepare similar research-based and reflective publications on the upcoming Kumbh Melas to be held in Nash ik, Haridwar and Ujjain, ensuring that these sacred gatherings continue to be remembered as enduring milestones of spiritual heritage.
