Aero India 2025: Asia’s largest aerospace and defense exhibition begins in Bengaluru

Asia’s largest aerospace and defense exhibition today began at Yelhanka Air Force Station in Bangalore. The five -day programme, which runs from 10 to 14 February, will demonstrate India’s progress in the defense and aviation sectors, with state -of -the -art technologies, air performances and participation from global industry leaders.

Under the theme “The Runway to a Billion Opportunities”, the event will bring together India’s growing stature in the global defense sector, bringing the defense ministers, air chiefs and representatives from more than 90 countries together. More than 800 exhibitors, including major international aerospace firms and Indian defense makers, will display their latest innovations.

The event was inaugurated by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, with the emphasis placed on India being self-sufficient in defense. “Aero India is more than an exhibition; it is a platform to strengthen our defense sector and promote global participation,” he said.

The program will show indigenous fighter jets such as live aerial displays, tages, along with advanced helicopters, drones, and other state-of-the-art defense equipment. Innovation from startups and private companies in the areas of artificial intelligence, unmanned systems, and space technology will also be showcased.

Since its inception in 1996, Aero India has evolved into a major global defense and aerospace platform. This year’s version is expected to set new benchmarks in participation, agreements and strategic cooperation, strengthening India’s position as a global defense center in this year.
