Greater Noida: One of North India’s well-known cinema chains, Wave Cinemas, entered the exhibition business in 2003 with its first multiplex in Noida. Since then, the brand has strengthened its presence across North India (excluding Greater Noida) with 11 multiplexes and 42 operational screens, offering a total seating capacity of 10,526 seats.
Recently, Wave Cinemas launched its new property at I-Thums Mall in Greater Noida. The new multiplex features four screens with a total seating capacity of 930 seats, including 17 platinum category seats.
In an informal interaction, Rajeev Gupta, Managing Director of Wave Group, stated that after the announcement of the Jewar Airport, Greater Noida has been rapidly transforming into a major commercial and residential hub. Until now, Wave Group did not have any cinema hall in Greater Noida. Considering this, the group decided to open a multiplex there.
He further mentioned that along with this new multiplex, the group plans to add 20 additional screens and approximately 4,000–5,000 seats by next year. Upcoming projects are underway in Gurugram (5 screens), Delhi (2 screens), Raj Nagar Extension (5 screens), and Noida Extension (4 screens).
Rajeev Gupta added that the Greater Noida Wave Cinemas is equipped with state-of-the-art laser projection, advanced sound systems, and leading technology to deliver an exceptional cinematic experience. The multiplex also features an in-house multi-cuisine kitchen serving freshly prepared food and beverages.
Yogesh Raizada, Director of Wave Cinemas, stated that the company has consistently aimed to enhance the movie-viewing experience by combining the latest technology with unmatched comfort and hospitality.
