Asia’s leading seafood trade fair, “IISS-2025”, starts on Sep 25 in New Delhi

New Delhi: The 24th India International Seafood Show 2025 (IISS-2025) is starting in New Delhi from September 25. Mr. Pawan Kumar, President of the Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI), announced this today. Addressing media at the India Habitat Centre, he said that Asia’s leading seafood trade fair will be held from September 25 to 28 in Hall No. 6 of Pragati Maidan, with 260 stalls. The show will also include technical sessions. SEAI is organizing this mega show. A large number of industry professionals, businessmen, and experts will participate in the show. During this, there will be an opportunity to meet and hear the views of many prominent personalities in the seafood business.

SEAI President Mr Pawan Kumar said that IISS showcases the huge strides that the Indian seafood export sector has made over the years. The event this year assumes special significance for us as we are also celebrating the golden jubilee of the Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI). We are confident that this event will help our efforts to diversify our markets and improve our position in existing markets.

During the IISS-2025, there will be detailed discussions on the opportunities, challenges and solutions in the field of aquaculture and the seafood export industry in India. Several important issues, including the skill development of individuals involved in seafood production and sustainability initiatives in this sector, will be discussed here. Meanwhile, a reverse buyer-seller meet will be held, hosted by the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA). The event will also include industry-related lectures, roundtables, technical sessions, and discussions.

SEAI Secretary General Dr K.N. Raghavan said, “IISS offers the perfect springboard for all stakeholders in the Indian seafood export value chain to expand the scope of their operations. The motto of this edition ‘sustainably harvested, humanely sourced’ underlines the commitment of members of SEAI towards following sustainable practices in all parts of the supply chain. We look forward to the event to underline our commitment towards making India the global leader in seafood trade.”

The biennial India International Seafood Show (IISS) has evolved over the years to become one of Asia’s largest seafood exhibitions. India is today a world leader in the seafood trade, and this event is recognised as an essential marketplace for the global industry as well. IISS connects all stakeholders in the seafood value chain,including processors, producers, machinery manufacturers, technical experts, service providers, importers, exporters, farmers, fishers, etc. and opens the door for small and medium enterprises to connect with innovators and thought leaders in this pivotal sector. The IISS is today acknowledged as the premier venue to showcase new technologies, display innovative products, and present cutting-edge ideas to a global audience.
