CM Rekha Gupta assures NUJ(I) and DJA to fulfil promises of ‘Sankalp Patra’ for the betterment of journalists

New Delhi : A delegation of journalists led by National Union of Journalists (India) President Sh. Ras Bihari and Delhi Journalists Association (DJA) President Sh.Rakesh Thapliyal met Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta on Monday at Delhi Assembly.

The delegation apprised the Chief Minister about the various problems of Delhi’s journalists. The Chief Minister assured to solve them on a priority basis.

NUJ(I) President Sh. Ras Bihari Requested the Chief Minister that all journalists (accreditated and non-accreditated) working in the Delhi region should be provided free medical facilities and also the pension scheme on the lines of neighbouring states Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, the re-formation of the Accreditation Committee of the Delhi Government was also discussed.
The problems of women journalists were also discussed. The Chief Minister assured that all the promises made in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ‘Sankalp Patra’, for the betterment of the Journalists, would be implemented soon on a priority basis.

The delegation included NUJ (I) Secretary Sh. Amlesh Raju, DJA General Secretary Sh. Pramod Kumar Singh, NUJ (I) Women’s Cell Convenor Ms. Pratibha Shukla, DJA Vice President Ms. Anita Chaudhary, NUJ (I) Election Commission Chairman Sh. Dadhibal Yadav, Public Asia Editor Sh. Mukesh Vats, NUJ (I) Executive Committee Member Ms. Usha Pahwa and DJA Executive Member Sh. Pradeep Srivastava.
