Council Honors Sanskrit Bhushan Awardees for Promoting Sanskrit

Commendable Initiative for the Divine Language Sanskrit
Several scholars were honored
- MPs, MLAs, and Mayors who took their oath in Sanskrit received awards
- The award ceremony was broadcast digitally across several countries
- The Council also launched a Sanskrit-based news and culture website: RamayanVarta.com
- The Council will run teaching and training programs across the country to promote Sanskrit
New Delhi – Under the aegis of the Ramayan Research Council, the Sanskrit Bhushan Awards were presented at the Constitution Club in New Delhi. These awards were given to scholars who have worked towards the promotion of Sanskrit, as well as to Members of Parliament, MLAs, and Mayors who took their oaths in Sanskrit. The awards were presented by revered saints including Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shiv Premanand Ji Maharaj, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Yatindranand Giri Ji Maharaj, and Swami Yogi Satyam Ji Maharaj. The ceremony was broadcast live digitally in several countries.
On this occasion, the RamayanVarta.com website, based on Sanskrit news and culture, was also launched. Council Secretary Kumar Sushant announced that the Council is preparing a 60-day course module for Sanskrit teaching and training.
Ajay Bhatt, Member of Parliament from Uttarakhand and Chairman of the Council’s Board of Trustees, said that spreading the divine language Sanskrit is essential in today’s time. He emphasized that Sanskrit is the mother of many languages, and to ensure its broader use, structured education and training are required, for which the Council is launching a major initiative.
Former Union Minister and Chief Patron of the Council, Ashwini Kumar Choubey, mentioned that the Council has been publishing the bi-weekly magazine “Ramayan Varta” for the past two years. He said this effort is highly commendable, especially in an era when Sanskrit readership is limited and there is little commercial support through advertising.
Dr. Abhishek Verma, a member of the Council, said he plans to expand the “Ramayan Varta” campaign to several countries and hopes to see the Council’s initiative flourish globally. Retired IAS officer and Council Trustee Dev Dutt Sharma mentioned that he is working to involve various IITs in the campaign so that it reaches every follower of Sanatan Dharma.
Other dignitaries present included Council trustees Dev Dutt Sharma, Dr. Abhishek Verma, Pitambar Mishra, Roshan Singh, Keval Kapoor, Dev Ratna Sharma, former UP minister Ravikant Garg, Rajesh Singh, Rajeev Singh, Ritesh Agarwal, Ambar Agarwal, Archana Singhal, Shivam Singh, Kumar Smriti, Sanjeev Singh, and many other Council members.

Child Prodigy Pandit Vedant Captivates the Audience
11-year-old Vaidehi Nandan Bal Vyas Pandit Vedant Ji stole the spotlight with his speech delivered fluently in both Sanskrit and Hindi. A 6th-grade student from New Delhi, Vedant has remarkable command over Hindi, English, and Sanskrit. He delivers discourses (Katha Vachan) across the country and is currently finalizing a Sanskrit training book titled “Devbhasha Sanskrit Seekhen” (Learn the Divine Language Sanskrit) for Ramayan Varta.
He has also authored books titled “Vedant Pushpa” and “Manas-Gyaan”. Vedant stated that moving forward, he will emphasize Sanskrit and Indian culture in his storytelling and will inspire children and parents alike to embrace the language.
