Heavy Rain Alert: IMD Issues High Alert for Several States for the Next 3 Days

National Desk: During this monsoon season, large parts of the country received widespread rainfall, bringing pleasant weather and much-needed relief from the heat. In several states, rainfall broke old records, while some regions recorded above-normal precipitation. Even after the withdrawal of the monsoon, rainfall activity continues in a few parts of the country. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has now issued a heavy rain alert for the next three days (October 17, 18, and 19) in several states.

Weather Update in Kerala
Despite the end of the monsoon, rainfall continues to impact Kerala. The IMD has warned that several districts in the state may experience heavy rainfall over the next three days.

Weather Update in Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh witnessed good rainfall during the monsoon. Although there was a brief pause after the monsoon withdrew, rainfall has resumed in recent days. The IMD has forecast widespread rain across the state over the next three days.

Rain Alert for Other States
According to the IMD, heavy rainfall is likely over the next three days in Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Puducherry, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh. Snowfall is also possible in higher mountainous regions, while strong winds and thunderstorms may affect the plains.

Weather Conditions in Rajasthan and Delhi
Rajasthan and Delhi received significant rainfall during and after the monsoon season. Currently, cooler conditions are being felt during the mornings and nights, while daytime temperatures remain moderate with sunshine. Similar weather is expected to continue over the next three days, with no major drop in temperatures anticipated.

The IMD has advised citizens to follow weather alerts, remain cautious, and exercise extra care while traveling, especially in adverse weather conditions.
