Massive Fire Breaks Out in Noida Building, 100 People Rescued by Fire Department

Noida News | A major fire broke out on Tuesday night in a four-storey residential building located in Nayagaon, Sector 87, Noida, after a domestic gas cylinder reportedly leaked and exploded. The blaze rapidly engulfed the structure, trapping around 100 residents inside and triggering panic throughout the building.
Upon receiving an emergency call, the Noida Fire Department responded swiftly, deploying six fire tenders along with advanced rescue vehicles, including a hydraulic platform and advanced rescue tenders. Firefighters worked tirelessly through the night, eventually bringing the fire under control and safely evacuating all residents.
Explosion on First Floor Sparks Panic
Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Pradeep Kumar confirmed that the fire originated on the first floor of the building due to a gas leak. The explosion intensified the blaze, which quickly spread through the lower levels, forcing residents to flee to the rooftop for safety. Thick smoke engulfed the entire structure, adding to the chaos.
Rooftop Rescue Mission
Trapped residents were eventually brought down safely using ladders and hydraulic equipment. The rescue operation witnessed moments of panic as people waited anxiously for their turn to be evacuated. Despite the intensity of the situation, fire personnel managed to control the flames within a short period and successfully evacuated all 100 individuals without any reported casualties.
Quick Response Averts Tragedy
According to CFO Kumar, the fire department was alerted in time, thanks to quick-thinking residents who rushed to the nearby fire station to report the incident. Within five minutes, the first set of fire tenders reached the location, preventing what could have been a far more devastating incident.
Fire Department to Boost Awareness
Following the incident, CFO Kumar emphasized the importance of public awareness regarding fire safety. He stated that the department regularly conducts awareness drives and urges residents to immediately inform nearby police and fire stations in case of emergencies. This quick response mechanism was key to averting tragedy in Nayagaon.
While the fire caused significant damage to the building, the swift action of the fire department ensured that all lives were saved, and no injuries were reported. An investigation into the cause and extent of the damage is currently underway.
