Noida Residents… Government Holiday Tomorrow Due to Jalabhishek Program, DM Issues Official Order

Noida: There will be a government holiday in Gautam Buddha Nagar district tomorrow, i.e., July 23. This decision has been taken in view of the Jalabhishek program. District Magistrate Manish Verma has issued an official order regarding this. According to the order, all government offices, private educational institutions, and both private and government schools in the district will remain closed.

Decision Taken in Light of Jalabhishek Program

A copy of the order issued by the DM has been sent to all concerned departments and institutions. The District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) has also informed schools that they will remain closed. The order clearly states that the decision has been made keeping in mind public safety, traffic management, and social harmony.

Every year during the month of Sawan, a large number of devotees gather in the city for the Jalabhishek ritual. Especially during the Kanwar Yatra, people go out in large numbers to perform the traditional act of offering water in temples. Considering this, the administration has declared a public holiday to ease road traffic, ensure public safety, and prevent any untoward incidents.

Six Camps Set Up in Noida

It is worth noting that a total of six major camps have been set up in Gautam Buddha Nagar district. Nine specific routes have been designated for the event. A massive crowd is expected as devotees bring water from the Ganga and either pass through Noida or perform Jalabhishek at local temples. These devotees will be engaged in temple visits and worship throughout the day.
