Speeding Up Development Works in Wave City

Protests Had Earlier Disrupted Progress

Ghaziabad: The pace of development work in Wave City has gained significant momentum. Earlier, protests and sit-ins organized by unruly elements had been obstructing the progress of construction activities, causing inconvenience to local residents. However, in the past few months, a noticeable acceleration in development work has been observed.

Residents of Wave City reported that the protests often disrupted construction because farmers would block the supply of materials needed for ongoing projects. As a result, development activities came to a standstill. Now that the protests have ended, construction work is running smoothly and efficiently.

It is noteworthy that Wave City’s strategic location—offering excellent connectivity via the Eastern Peripheral Expressway and the Delhi–Meerut Expressway—is attracting more homebuyers. Many people, seeking to move away from the city’s congestion, have purchased plots here to build their homes according to personal preferences.

According to a report, the Wave Group launched this township project in 2009–10 under the state’s Hi-Tech Township Policy, with a focus on technology-integrated housing and vast green spaces. Though the project faced delays due to farmers’ protests, it is now progressing smoothly following court orders, which has revived demand among buyers.

One of the key reasons behind Wave City’s growing popularity is its eco-friendly and secure environment. The city’s layout has been designed in such a way that even middle-class families can enjoy modern amenities in one integrated space. The master planning has been done by a globally renowned engineering firm, making Wave City not just a landmark project for Ghaziabad but one of the most distinctive urban developments in the country.
