Traffic Relief Coming Soon to Greater Noida West: Two New U-Turns to Be Built on 60-Meter Wide Road, Major Benefit for Lakhs of Residents

Greater Noida – In a major step towards easing traffic congestion in Greater Noida West, the Greater Noida Authority has approved the construction of two new U-turns on the 60-meter wide road between Gaur Chowk and Tigri. With traffic problems worsening in the region and the population expected to grow further in the coming years, this move is expected to provide significant relief to local commuters and nearby housing societies.
Two U-turns to be Built at a Cost of ₹3 Crore
The design work has already begun, and the construction will cost around ₹3 crore. These new U-turns will not only help reduce traffic jams but also improve accessibility for residents of the nearby housing societies.

One U-turn will be constructed near Khajoor Chowk, just before Tigri roundabout, improving connectivity for residents of Gaur City-2, a large township with over 40,000 residents. Commuters from Gaur City-2 will no longer need to circle around the Tigri roundabout, helping to ease congestion in that area.

Direct Access to NH-24 and Surrounding Areas
The new U-turns will also facilitate easier movement towards NH-24 and Ghaziabad, making daily commutes smoother for thousands of vehicles that pass through this stretch during peak morning and evening hours.

Currently, traffic pressure in Greater Noida West is steadily increasing, especially during rush hours. To combat this, the authority has taken multiple measures including road widening and strategic placement of U-turns.

Two New U-turns Planned Between Gaur Chowk and Tigri
The two upcoming U-turns will be located:

In front of Gaur City-2 Society

Before Khajoor Chowk, on the way to Tigri roundabout

These U-turns will eliminate the need for vehicles to travel to Tigri roundabout for turning, thereby reducing traffic at the roundabout itself.

Five U-turns Already Constructed in Greater Noida West
So far, five U-turns have already been built in Greater Noida West:

Two between Gaur Chowk and Etaeda roundabout

Two between Etaeda and Ek Murti roundabout

One between Ek Murti and Roja roundabout

Additionally, four other U-turns had been constructed earlier, and a U-turn on the 130-meter wide road near Sector Pi-1 is also complete.
