Weather Update: Flood Havoc in UP-Bihar, Rain Likely in Delhi-NCR; Check Nationwide Weather Forecast

Digital Desk, New Delhi: The spell of monsoon rain continues across the country, causing devastation in several states due to heavy downpours. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain in many regions over the next three to four days.
According to the IMD, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, and Uttar Pradesh are expected to receive rainfall in the coming 3-4 days, leading to a dip in temperatures by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius.
Weather Situation in Uttar Pradesh
In Uttar Pradesh, heavy rainfall has caused river water levels to rise, triggering flood threats in several areas. In Prayagraj, many localities have been submerged due to flooding, while rivers in Varanasi and other cities are flowing above danger marks.
As per the IMD forecast, light to moderate rainfall is expected in districts like Banda, Chitrakoot, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Saharanpur, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Meerut, and Aligarh till August 9.
Light Rain Likely in Delhi-NCR
The IMD has also predicted rainfall in Delhi-NCR. Areas including Laxmi Nagar, Patparganj, Anand Vihar, North Delhi, South Delhi, and West Delhi are likely to witness light showers, providing relief from the heat.
Weather Forecast for Bihar
The IMD has forecast rainfall throughout the week in Bihar. An Orange Alert has been issued in several districts for rain and thunderstorms. Heavy rainfall is expected in East and West Champaran, Siwan, Saran, Sitamarhi, Gopalganj, Araria, and Kishanganj.
