Bomb Threat Sparks Panic: 31 Minutes of Tension as Rajdhani Express Receives Explosion Warning
Bomb Threat in Train: Panic gripped Aligarh railway station in Uttar Pradesh late last night after a bomb threat was reported on the Delhi–Patna Rajdhani Express (Tejas rake), one of India’s premium trains. Following the alert, security agencies were put on high alert, and the station remained under intense tension for nearly 31 minutes.
Anonymous Call Triggers Chaos
The incident began when an anonymous caller contacted the police control room, claiming that an explosive device had been planted on the Delhi–Patna Rajdhani Express. Acting swiftly on the information, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and local police were alerted. The train, which was passing through the Aligarh section at the time, was immediately halted at Aligarh station.
Dog Squad and Bomb Disposal Team Deployed
As soon as the train stopped, a large contingent of police and security personnel reached the spot. Aligarh RPF Commanding Officer Gulzar Singh said that all standard security protocols were strictly followed. The Bomb Disposal Squad and Dog Squad thoroughly checked every coach, the pantry car, and the toilets. Passengers and their luggage were also subjected to intensive screening.
After nearly half an hour of detailed inspection, officials confirmed that no suspicious object or explosive material was found on the train. The threat was declared a hoax.
Train Departs Under Tight Security
Despite the all-clear, railway authorities did not take any chances. The Rajdhani Express was allowed to proceed to Patna under tight security cover. Patna railway officials were also informed to maintain heightened vigilance upon the train’s arrival.
The incident has once again raised serious concerns about the security of premium trains like the Tejas Rajdhani, known for their modern and luxury facilities, and has sparked renewed debate over railway safety measures.
