Constitution Club Resonates with Green Applause: Y.P. Singh Honored for Environmental Leadership
New Delhi, September 5, 2025 – At the Constitution Club of India, the Kamla Gram Vikas Sansthan hosted a seminar on “Linguistic Democracy and Indian Educational Traditions”, where environmental champion Y.P. Singh was recognized for his outstanding contribution to sustainability and ecological preservation.
Singh, who currently serves as president of the Indian Nurserymen Association (INA), received the honor in the presence of MP Kalicharan, Padma Bhushan awardee Ram Bahadur Rai, Padma Shri Ashok Bhagat, and Dr. Sanjay Rai of AIIMS New Delhi. The recognition celebrated Singh’s relentless dedication to nurturing greenery and inspiring communities nationwide to embrace environmental protection.
The INA, established nearly four decades ago, has become the backbone of India’s nursery and plantation sector. Since Singh took over leadership in 2018, the organization has extended its presence across every state, transforming from a network of nursery owners into a collective movement that connects rural nurseries with large urban plantation centers. Under his stewardship, INA has evolved into a nationwide family committed to ecological balance.
The award ceremony was not only a tribute to Singh but also a symbolic acknowledgment of the countless anonymous individuals who toil daily with soil and saplings to safeguard the country’s future. The Kamla Gram Vikas Sansthan used the occasion to emphasize a powerful message: India’s progress is meaningful only when its environmental roots remain strong.
