Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi’s New Book “Goonje Desh Raag” Launched at Sahitya Akademi

New Delhi: The new book “Goonje Desh Raag” by Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, published by Yash Publications, was launched at the Sahitya Akademi auditorium. The book is a poetic work centered on India’s culture and its diverse expressions, written in the spirit of a “Desh Raag” — echoing the songs and emotions of the nation.

Speaking at the launch event, renowned travel blogger Dr. Kainaat Qazi said that “Goonje Desh Raag” offers readers a geographical and cultural journey through its narratives. Reading Dr. Joshi feels like embarking on the journey oneself. Whether it is a trip to Mongolia or Cambodia, presenting an Indian sensibility within those travel experiences is the book’s distinctive feature.

Vyomesh Shukla, Prime Minister (Head) of Nagari Pracharini Sabha, Kashi, shared an interesting anecdote from the book. He mentioned a humorous incident during a foreign trip where a vegetarian traveler found himself in a dilemma when, in the name of vegetarian food, he was served a very small egg one day and an egg three times larger the next.

During the discussion, Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi also recounted several beautiful and memorable experiences from his travels abroad. He noted that while we often believe that the tradition of honoring guests exists only in India, traveling abroad reveals that many other countries also welcome guests with tremendous enthusiasm and warmth.

Senior journalist Katyayani Chaturvedi also participated in the discussion. The event was attended by educationist and theatre personality Mallika Joshi, and Dr. Anjali, Assistant Professor at Delhi University. Jatin Bhardwaj, Director of Yash Publications, expressed gratitude to all the guests present.
