Rekha Gupta to Make History as Delhi’s Next Female Chief Minister

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) officially appointed Rekha Gupta as the leader of its Delhi legislative party. She is set to be sworn in as the next Chief Minister of Delhi on February 20, 2025, during a special oath-taking ceremony.
Gupta will become the fourth woman to hold the position of Chief Minister in Delhi, following in the footsteps of Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dikshit, and Atishi, who previously served in this role.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Ministers from BJP-led states, NDA leaders, Union Ministers, and other distinguished guests will be present at the ceremony, according to sources from the party. The event is expected to be a significant occasion with a cultural programme featuring music and songs prior to the official proceedings.
Approximately 30,000 attendees are expected at the ceremony, including BJP leaders, workers from various states, and those who were involved in the Delhi Assembly elections. The event is being organized at Ramlila Maidan, marking a grand and celebratory moment for the BJP as they welcome their new leadership in Delhi.
